Postage to metro postcodes is usually cheaper than postage to regional postcodes.
If you are a regional customer and are able to collect from a metro Post Office, you may reduce your postage cost by using an Australia Post Parcel Collect address in that metro postcode.
Parcel Collect is a free Australia Post service available with a free MyPost account. It allows you to send eligible parcels to a participating Post Office for collection instead of sending them to your home address. Australia Post states that Parcel Collect is available at 4,000+ Post Offices nationwide, and parcels must be collected within 10 business days of arriving at the Parcel Collect location.
To use Parcel Collect, you will need to create or log in to your MyPost account, choose a participating Post Office, and use the Parcel Collect address provided by Australia Post at checkout.
Please make sure the Parcel Collect address is entered exactly as shown in your Australia Post account. You will also need to bring the required notification and ID when collecting your parcel.
